We inspire creativity, promote exploration of the arts, and encourage global awareness, provide cultural opportunities to community members of all ages through outreach learning opportunities.

Scholarships are available for Portage County youth; contact the Arts & Culture Outreach staff for details.

Art Extravaganza: Collage, painting, and 3-dimensional are for kids.
Ballet with a Twist: A mixture of ballet and jazz moves to the music of High School Musical and Hannah Montana.
Beginning Movement: Music & Motion: Especially for your pre-schooler who loves to dance!
Brain Gym® 101: Brain Gym is an educational program which uses simple movements to enhance learning abilities in children and adults.
Dance Series: Swing & Latin Rhythm (will return in fall): Dance like the stars! Dancing is great exercise, a wonderful way to relax, and spend quality time with a partner.
Digital Photography for Beginners: Class topics include choosing a digital camera, getting to know your camera, taking better pictures, and optimizing digital functions.
Digital Photography: Intermediate Level: Improve your photography skills and produce better pictures.
Digital Photography Outdoors: Join us at Schmeeckle Reserve for a day of photography in nature.
Emerging Writers' Workshop: Creative Writing for Youth: Explore the many genres of creative writing including poetry, short fiction, memoir and creative nonfiction in this series emphasizing the creative process.
Gourmet Cooking Series: Learn techniques and new recipes for unique foods that you will enjoy for years to come.
Intermediate Dance Technique Workshop: Classes emphasize principles of functional anatomy and movement flow in combination with musicality and expression. Both ballet and modern techniques are included.
Introduction to Dance: Basic methods especially designed to capture the attention of young novice dancers.
Jazz Dance for Kids: High energy, rhythmic, and theatrical dance.
Kidstage!: Explore the world of theatre through games, stories, and skits.
Mixed Media Masterpieces: Three-dimensional and paper projects will stretch imaginative minds and creative hands.
Silk Painting: Learn a variety of ways to paint on silk - controlled to experimental.
Watercolor Wonder Series: This class is designed for beginners as well as experienced artists.

Cancellations & Refund Policy

Students withdrawing at least seven days before the first day of class will receive a full refund. Withdrawals made less than seven days before the class starts will be assessed a $20 cancellation fee plus a materials charge. No refunds will be given to no-shows, those canceling after the second class session or for private music lessons.
