Conference Objectives

For Wisconsin’s Mental Health and Substance Abuse (MH/SA) Services:

  • Learn how to promote recovery, best practice, and continuous quality improvement with the use of evidence-based practices within Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
  • Promote meaningful involvement and inclusion of people and families participating in MH/SA Services in recovery planning, services, supports, and system change.
  • Learn how to implement quality peer support and peer-led services as part of care in MH/SA recovery.
  • Learn best practices within Mental Health and Substance Abuse for persons across the lifespan.
  • Increase knowledge regarding special topics in Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Co-Occurring Treatment.

Topic Areas

Topics for workshops will include:  Psychopharmacology, Geriatric Substance Abuse, Peer Supports, Supported Employment, P.A.M.I., Cultural Diversity, Domestic Violence, Attachment Disorder, and Adolescent Substance Abuse.

Earn UWSP Credit

A one-credit UWSP courses are available in conjunction with the 4th Annual Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Conference-Recovery: Promoting Dreams Through Evidence Based Practice. Full Tuition must be paid at the time of course registration, and is in addition to the workshop registration fee. Print the course syllabus here.
