Registration Information

A registration booth will be held in the Dreyfus University Center (DUC) Laird room. Buses will drop students off on Reserve Street and the DUC is on the corner of High St. and Reserve St. Please follow all pink directional signs to the Women & Science Day registration area and workshop sessions.

Registration is accepted on a first come, first served basis. Payment can be made with check, credit card (VISA or MasterCard) or purchase order. Register early. This program fills to capacity very quickly! Upon receipt of your registration, a confirmation letter and map will be mailed to your school contact. NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE HELD TO SECURE SEATING IN ANY SESSION.

REGISTRATION FEE:

$30 per person (Lunch Included)

WORKSHOP CHOICES:

Each student attends three workshops. Indicate the top 3 (different) workshop choices for each student within the Online Registration Form. Sessions are given on a first-come, first-serve basis or when the room capacity is met. If a session is grayed out on the online registration form, the capacity for that session has been met. Please choose another session. Registering early is the best way to ensure your workshop choices.

SCHOOL ENROLLMENT LIMITS:

Each school is allowed to register a maximum of 50 students and 2 accompanying adults.

ADULT CHAPERONES:

Students must be accompanied by an adult representative from their school. Adult chaperones will not be assigned to specific workshops but can attend any workshop they choose. Adults are assessed the $30 registration fee.

BUSING DROP-OFF AND PARKING INFORMATION

Buses will drop-off students on Reserve Street near the Learning Resource Center (#8 on Campus Map) and the University Center (#40 on Campus Map). Buses will then park in Lot Q which is the only parking lot designated bus parking. Students will be picked up on Fourth Avenue in front of the Health Enhancement Center (#5 on Campus Map) at the end of the day. SUBSTITUTIONS AND CANCELLATIONS:

Substitutions may be made at any time upon notification to UWSP Continuing Education. No refunds will be given after October 31, 2008 except in the case of inclement weather or unsafe travel conditions. UWSP Continuing Education reserves the right to substitute workshop presenters.

STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS:

A limited number of need-based scholarships are available for students upon written recommendation by a teacher or school administrator. You may fax recommendations to Julie Hellweg at 715.346.3504. Scholarship deadline: October 27, 2008.

If a student has special needs that require assistance, please notify us at least one week prior to the program.
